In April 2014 the Wiltzius Family (Jon, Jennifer, Emma and her fiance Richey, Maya and our dog Finn) were fortunate to purchase Breezy Hill Campground. Jon transitioned from his role of an educational administrator to manage Breezy Hill Campground. Jennifer has continued in education serving as a math coordinator while Emma works as a teacher and Maya is a college student. Emma and Maya support in the daily operation of the campground and have taken on more responsibilities with assisting in managing the campground.
Our family entered the camping world in 2006 with the encouragement and support of friends Jeff and Sarah Harbridge. Our first camping outing was at Breezy Hill Campground. We created many memories camping throughout Wisconsin and the United States. It is our family’s mission to ensure that your visit to Breezy Hill Campground will create memories for you and your family that will last a lifetime.
Breezy Hill Campground is truly a family experience as Jon’s and Jennifer’s family initially assisted in the operational and maintenance of the campground. We are grateful for their effort and ideas in developing a family oriented campground.
When we purchased the campground in 2014, there were 85 sites including rentals. The campground now offers 185 sites including rental units, daily, and seasonal sites.
Part of the plan to purchase Breezy Hill Campground was focused on using this wonderful facility to make a dream come true for Emma and Maya by owning horses. Our horses have become an integral part of the campground experience that we enjoy sharing with other families.
On a Saturday evening in July of 2024, we were met with a setback in which our workshop and horse barn was destroyed by a fire. With the support of family, friends and our campers we are rebuilding our facility and are excited for what the new space will offer.
